Mission Trip to Haiti – Update 2/18/12

Alene Gibson and LeAnn Crosslin are currently on a mission trip to Haiti. The trip has two focuses; building living structures and ministering to the children through crafts. There are a few items that Alene has mentioned are needed for the trip. They will be able to use these items during craft sessions and for general distribution during their ministry work.

Those items are:

Toothbrushes

Ink Pens

Construction Paper

Glow Bracelets

Leeann and Alene left for Haiti on Fe. 8 and will return to us on Feb. 18.  They ask and need our prayer each and every day they are away from us.  May God bless them and their work on this trip.

 

UPDATE 2/18/12: Alene and Leeann have returned safely to us and relate what a profound impact this trip had on their spiritual lives and they have a new perspective of what it means to be truly “poor.”  They both spoke about the friendliness of the Haitian people and their hunger not just for food but for God’s Word. They are to looking forward to returning next February to work on building a school.
